The Dub Drive GCC, the largest gathering of Volkswagen owners and enthusiasts in the Middle East, was celebrated by over 800 visitors at the Dubai Autodrome on Friday, March 9th.

From distances of thousands of kilometers, hundreds car owners arrived from places including Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Lebanon, and the United Arab Emirates.

At the Dubai Autodrome, participants were treated to track usage, acceleration races, and competitions where both old school cars and modern models played significant roles.

The convoy was supported by the Emirate Motorsport Federation, RTA, Dubai Police, and Civil Defence, ensuring clean routes for the Volkswagen enthusiasts and a seamless convoy driving experience through the center of Dubai.

Dub Drive was inspired by the old tradition of the Wörthersee Club Treffen, the largest Volkswagen GTI event in the world. The festival began over 36 years ago in a small Austrian village by Lake Wörthersee, where a few Volkswagen fans met to showcase their cars and exchange stories.

The festival's impressive program included live entertainment, dining options, and track races, complemented by the Pirelli-sponsored F1 tire change game and other family-friendly activities.

We captured the event's spectacular moments and the dynamics of the participants with our cameras, documenting the car convoys, the acceleration races, as well as the interactions between the audience and participants.

During the film-making process, we carefully selected and edited the footage to authentically reflect the essence and energy of Dub Drive. The finished film, which also debuted on Volkswagen's international channels, not only strengthened the brand's image but also allowed the Volkswagen community to connect from various parts of the world. The visual materials we created not only documented but also became a part of the unique and cohesive power of the Volkswagen fan community.
